The German car manufacturer Opel sells vehicles in fifty countries throughout the world. Founded in 1862 by Adam Opel, the original company produced sewing machines. Thirty years later, they switched to making bicycles, and by 1899, graduated to automobiles. The Opel “Adam,” shown here, debuted in 2012 and quickly became a popular small city vehicle, winning many awards along the way.
That brings us to the name given to the bright yellow version of Adam – “James Blonde.” Agent 007 loves driving luxury sports cars like Astin Martins and BMWs – but an Opel Adam? I’m not so sure. Let’s just hope that the paint applied to these cars is shaken, not stirred.
