From 1969-1970 the Ford Motor Co., in an effort to appeal to a younger and more mobile audience, offered many of their sportier models in catchy paint colours. Mavericks, Mustangs, Pintos and others came in colours with names that reflected the mood and language of the times. Remember, this was back when people were listening to groups like Strawberry Alarm Clock, watching Laugh In on television and going to the movies to see Easy Rider. Here are some of the groovy names they coined:
> Anti-Establish Mint - mint green
> Bring-em Back Olive - olive green
> Freudian Gilt - gold
> Last Stand Custard - bright yellow
> Original Cinnamon - burnt orange
> Thanks Vermillion - deep red
> There She Blue - medium blue
