Their hostel-like facilities aim to provide unconventional environments, with high-quality furnishings at reasonable rates. This particular hotel is located near the Berlin Airport and was designed by the architecture firm of Petersen Architeken and interior designers Studio Aisslinger. The horizontal cladding of the building's exterior consists of interchangeable steel panels and windows that allow for for future growth. The stripes are made from an innovative nonflammable material that is coated with polyester-varnished colours. This bold, expressive Berlin hotel certainly proves that Meininger is being true to their mandate of creating unique accomodations.
