Australia’s Monash University Accident Research Centre recently conducted one of the most comprehensive studies involving automobiles and they concluded that the safest car colour is white. It appears that white vehicles are 10% less likely to be in an accident during daylight hours than other vehicles. Because of high visibility in all weather conditions, both during the day and night, white proves to be the best choice. However, white cars are not as popular in areas that experience blustery winters because they tend to blend in with the snow. Certain shades of yellow cars are even more visible, unfortunately they are not big sellers and therefore not as widely available as white models. Other safe colour options include bright greens, orange and pink.
