Medical carts with colourful drawers are found in more and more hospital Pediatric wards. The colours and their order follow the Broselow Tape system (see chart below) associated with typical weights and ages of children. Broselow Tapes are used by hospitals around the world. The corresponding drawer colours aid doctors and nurses in making quick and accurate decisions around the specific materials and drugs required in emergency situations. Note: this particular design uses softer, pastel versions of the colours – less alarming, more calming.
